Biography:
Mehr Bano is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan and a Senior Associate at Bhandari, Naqvi & Riaz (BNR). She joined BNR in 2025.
She holds an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was named to the Dean’s Honour List. She also holds Certificates of Specialization in Public Law & Regulation and Business Law from UC Berkeley. She completed her LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of London.
Mehr Bano’s practice encompasses both contentious and non-contentious matters, including litigation, corporate, commercial, transactional and regulatory work.
Among her notable matters, Mehr Bano successfully petitioned the Lahore High Court in Mehr Bano Langrial & Others v. Federation of Pakistan, resulting in a change in the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports’ policy allowing married women to retain their father’s name on their passports.
Outside the law, Mehr Bano enjoys fitness, wellness and sports and is always keen to make time for an active lifestyle.
